Flinders Street Station Ballroom

Flinders Street Station is an iconic structure in Melbourne, but not many know it has a ballroom. Built in the early 1900s, the ballroom has fallen into disrepair, and is to be restored as part of a proposed redesign of the station. Reporter Matt Smith is shown around the space by Metro Train’s Peter Watson and architect Tobias Horrocks.

Wow, this looks like an incredible place for photography! Do you know how I could get access to this for a shoot?

Hi Matt. It was pretty incredible! You’d need to speak to the station, but they don’t generally let people go in.
